Our history
Gaypasa is a company with more than thirty years in the market, working mainly for the automotive sector.
We study, design, build and assemble tailor-made solutions for the transport, handling, control and storage of vehicle components.
Our know-how is the result of the experience of our workshop staff and technicians, both in manufacturing and in assembly and maintenance.
This experience has been enhanced by a technical office that incorporates CAD systems and advanced design procedures.
Each project is an opportunity for research and development of new solutions.
The sum of experience and innovation results in a great capacity to respond to the demands of our customers.
Our trajectory
YEAR 1977
The company is founded with the creation of a boiler and fluids workshop for the naval sector.
YEAR 1978
Work for PSA-VIGO through orders placed by multinationals.
YEAR 1979
PSA includes us in the panel of suppliers for various works in the PSA-VIGO factory for structures, fluids, maintenance and painting.
YEAR 1986
Collaboration with multinationals in the sector (AIR INDUSTRIE, BTM, GEC-ALSTHOM, FATA, PIANELLI, etc) for the manufacture and assembly of maintenance installations for large works and in factories of RENAULT, FORD, SUZUKI, GM, SEAT.
YEAR 1996
The technical office is created and begins to carry out projects in handling, structures and fluids with works for PSA-VIGO, PSA-MADRID and RENAULT, including the design, manufacture, assembly and commissioning of the mechanical part.
YEAR 1998
Since 1998, the company has been certified as complying with the ISO 9001:2000 quality system.
YEAR 2001
From 2001 onwards, “turnkey” work was carried out for handling installations. For the realization of the electrical part we count on partners such as BOSCH REXROTH, INABENSA, MONTEGA, etc.
YEAR 2008
Incorporation as a supplier of the VW group with the start of work at the Autoeuropa plant.
YEAR 2010
Incorporation as a supplier of GM with the start of works in the Opel Figueruelas plant.
YEAR 2012
Incorporation as a supplier of MERCEDES with the start of works at the Vitoria plant.
YEAR 2014
Incorporation as a supplier of NISSAN with the start of work at the Barcelona plant.
Acquisition of Mecanizados UME and incorporation into the machining division.
YEAR 2018
Acquisition of the IZMAR Barcelona factory, specialising in the design and manufacture of logistics equipment.
